The Montgomery TEA Party

About Us

Co-Founder

15 Core Beliefs

We are simply a part of a grassroots movement encouraging others to take notice of, and action on, issues that threaten the peace, security and sovereignty of The United States of America.  We strongly believe that our voice represents the true owners of The United States:  We the People.

Though The Montgomery TEA Party was born in the summer of 2010, let it be clear that the brave men and woman back in 1773 - known today as the Boston Tea Party - who stood strong in the face of the most powerful military force known at the time, are the true founders of this movement.  We continue to benefit from their courage every single day.

Included in the members of the Tea Party are those with the belief that our great documents are based in and with Judeo-Christian values.  True American Patriots from every race, religion, national origin and walk of life are responsible to care for and nurture this great nation through common belief in the values which have made and continue to keep this country the greatest nation the world has ever seen.  The creation of the modern Tea Party is born.

With millions of Tea Party members, you will find we consist of Republicans, Democrats, Libertarians and Independents.  What brings us together are the premises of individual freedom, rights and limited government, as set forth by the United States Constitution.  Who says we can't all get along?

Believing in that the Constitution is inherently conservative, we serve as a pathway to many of those who have either lost their way or simply who are unaware to the true intentions of our Founding Fathers.  Together we will shine an everlasting light of truth and proclaim the values that have made this country so great.  It is only then that the politically blind will see, and the politically deaf hear.

Join our Tea Party.  You will be taking a stand for YOUR nation.  You will be upholding the wonderful principles set forth in the U.S. Constitution and the Bill of Rights.

The Montgomery TEA Party

The Montgomery TEA Party originated during the summer of 2010 during a Montgomery Troop 46 Boy Scout camping trip when three fathers, tired of merely worrying about the state of our union decided to do something about it.  Since that moment, we have established relationships with the School Board, Montgomery Township, Somerset County and Somerset County GOP party leaders and elected and civil service folks throughout our county - all focused on expressing our interest on various issues and, as individuals, effecting change.

Our charter serves no political candidate, nor legislative position and as such we are an information-only TEA Party and as such, no member may speak for
The Montgomery TEA Party.  Any action or positions expressed by members of The Montgomery TEA Party do not represent The Montgomery TEA Party and as such these members are acting as individuals.

To date our members, as individuals, have affected the video recording of Montgomery Township committee meetings and school board meetings, hosted various town hall meetings for congressional candidates, and moderated Township Committee candidate question-and-answer nights.
